Sweet, but risky: joint sweeteners may accelerate puberty in children

The consumption of some sweeteners usually found in foods and drinks may increase the risk of early adulthood in children, especially among those who suffer from genetically rehabilitation, according to the study of the Introduction in Indo 2025, the annual meeting of the Endocrine Association in San Francisco, California.

Researchers have found that the consumption of aspartame, sugar, glycerineine and added sugars were greatly associated with a higher risk of early adulthood, especially in children with certain genetic features. The higher the number of these localities consumed by adolescents, the greater the risk of early central puberty.

“This study is one of the first to link modern eating habits-especially desserts-with all genetic factors and early puberty development in a large group of the real world,” said Yang Cheng Chen, PhD in Medicine. “It also highlights the gender differences in how localities affect boys and girls, adding an important class to our understanding of individual health risks.”

A type of early puberty known as central puberty before the importance is increasingly common. This can lead to emotional distress, a shorter height of adults, and an increased risk of future and reproductive disorders in the future.

Chen’s previous research found that some localities can directly affect hormones and intestinal bacteria associated with early puberty. For example, it was found that one of the artificial sweeteners named Acesulfame Potassium or ACEK provokes the release of hormones linked to puberty by activating the paths of “sweet taste” in the brain cells and increasing the molecules associated with stress. Another sweetening, glycerrazin – found in licorice – is found to change the balance of the intestine bacteria and reduce the activity of genes involved in the operation of adulthood.

“This indicates that what children eat and drink, especially products with localities, may have a sudden and strong impact on their development,” Chen said.

The new results of the longitudinal study in Taiwan (TPLS), which started in 2018. The study included data from 1,407 teenagers. Central puberty was diagnosed before adolescence in 481 teenagers. The researchers assessed the amount of desalination for adolescents through the validated questionnaires and testing urine samples. The amount of genetic predisposition was measured using the degrees of multi -genetic risks derived from 19 gene associated with early central adulthood. Early puberty was diagnosed based on medical examinations, hormones and survey levels.

The consumption of sugar was more associated with the risk of central puberty before the importance of boys and the consumption of the glycerraine, and the sugar and sugars added more to the risk of central puberty before girls.

“The results are directly related to families, pediatricians and public health authorities,” said Chen. “They suggest that the examination of genetic risks and the eating of the moderate desalination entrance can help prevent early puberty and its long -term health consequences. This may lead to new nutritional guidelines or tools for evaluating the risk of children, and supporting health development.”
