Prosopagnosia. Disabled has been overlooked
I have. The magician prince (seriously). It’s time to see what it is.
Like 2 % of the population, I have Prosopagnosia and I did so throughout my life.
Prosopagnosia (also known as “face blindness”) is the difficulty/inability to recognize the faces of peoples.
It has varying degrees of intensity. My PROSOPAGNOSia is not all this.
Some people have so bad that they cannot get to know their friends, families, or even themselves.
I can get to know myself, my friends, and most of my direct family.
How does this affect me, I can’t simply look at someone I have previously met and know who he is. I must learn the appearance of a person and it may take several weeks or months. I must look at this person and include his material features in my head.
I must recite length, construction, hair color, eye color and type of clothes they wear and try to attach them in the name of (I am good with names fortunately).
Every time I see someone I go to the list of his material features and know if he is identical to someone I already know. If that matches, I stare for them for another ten or fifteen minutes to decide whether they are the ones who think they are or not.
Sometimes I should ask them. It is a little embarrassing but better than not sure.
It took me about four or five months to find out my bosses at work and about twice …
