KISS Star Ace Frehley’s death is under investigation after toxicology report released
Investigators are trying to figure out what happened in a death case Ace Frehley. The iconic KISS guitarist passed away at the age of 74 on October 16.

A brain hemorrhage was caused by a fall in the recording studio and Frehley was placed on life support. Immediately, after two weeks of treatment, the family decided to remove him from the ventilator.
An autopsy has not been performed, a spokesman for the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The investigation is limited to external examination of the body and a full toxicology committee. The final cause of death will be determined over the next few weeks.
Frehley, along with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss, was one of the founding members of KISS and during the 1970s was a major contributor to not only the band’s sound, but also to their visual image that marked their rise to success. The band, which later became famous for songs like “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” and “Rock and Roll All Nite,” eventually transformed into a global icon of glam rock.
He broke up with KISS in 1982 due to disagreements within the band and his addiction problems. Frehley returned for a reunion tour in 1996 but was only there until 2002 when he decided to go solo again.
Before his death, Frehley’s team assured fans that he was recovering.
On September 25, he posted on his official account Instagram He added: “He is fine, but against his will, his doctor insists on refraining from traveling at this time.”
Days later, another message announced that he had “made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates” due to ongoing medical issues.

Family and bandmates are mourning
In a statement released after his death, Frehley’s family said they were “devastated and devastated.”
“In his final moments, we were fortunate enough to be able to surround him with loving, caring and peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth,” they wrote. The family added that “his memory will live forever.”
Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley also expressed their sadness in a statement Hollywood Reporter. “I am devastated that Ace Frehley is gone,” Simmons said. “He was an essential and irreplaceable soldier in rock music during some of the most formative chapters of the band and its history. He is and always will be a part of the KISS legacy.”
