Cold Sore – Samantha Harvey

I got a cold sore because I was sick

I took some NyQuil for the repair

My mind was so foggy that it was difficult to write

I haven’t been sick in several years, so I see health from the outside in a new light

Carmex lives up to the hype when it comes to lip care

The cold is contagious I see the stare

My dogs accompanied me in pairs

I haven’t had the inspiration to write until today

Before this day it flowed like a waterfall

But every poet has his day

Because of the coughing, my sweatshirt became frayed

Overall, the universe gave me a cold sore

lasted
