It is firm that many different human animals (animals) live in groups or gatherings. In her new book entitled Multiple groups, The Dutch philosopher and abundant author Dr. Eva Megir emphasizes that we all live as part of a network of relationships in which we influence and influence others. As such, it developed a new political model called Multispecies. In essence, “multi -species gatherings are a form of direct democracy in which some creatures talk about themselves and others are active. Living differently because humans are possible, but we must start listening to others, and learning from them.”

Many Eva B messages reminded me interview I did with Ralph Nader about his 2016 book animal envy He writes about a global animal group called “The Great Talkout”, where a wide range of animals speaks together and with us. A rare goal is to inform people who do not happen in relation to the recent results about the intelligence of multiple non -human animals, their ability to sympathy, sympathy, sadness, and their common “needs” with humans. Above all, he wants to make people think outside their box, including young people.

I was fascinated by the ideas of Eva’s novel and I am pleased to be able to answer some questions about her important message about how we should listen to other beings and respect their voices.

Mark Beckov: Why did you write Multiple groups?

Eva Migger: For a long time, humans believed that inhuman animals did not speak, think or have cultures. Research in biology and ethics shows that other animals of humans have life, languages, internal cultures and social approval. Other animals have a perspective of life they communicate with others, including humans. This raises many philosophical questions. What kind of relationships do they want with humans? How can we know that?

It also raises political questions: What kind of societies that animals make up with each other, and what is the type of political relations between species? How can animals have an opinion on questions related to their lives? As a political philosopher, I am interested in this last question. in Multiple groups I rely on ideas on citizen associations and the political agency for animals to include other animals’ views of democracy decision making.

MB: How is your book related to your background and public interest areas?

Em: As a writer and philosopher, I am very interested in how to create different beings, meaning, and the political dimensions of the language, specifically in multiple relationships. Non -human animals are currently in several ways, and I believe that fighting their persecution is linked to overcoming the silence of this silence and meditating their views. They have a lot to teach humans, but also about life, and they have the right to listen to it. In this book, I build on the previous ideas about the political voice of the animal to develop a model for making multiple political decisions.

MB: Who do you hope to arrive?

EM: All human beings need to learn to listen to other animals to understand how they want to live, so their question about this is important for all human societies. But this book specifically aims to those interested in using democracy tools to work for change. There are currently many proposals to include more interests than humans policyThink of the rights of nature, animal political parties, and climate societies. But animals are often absent in (and from) these discussions. This needs to be changed.

MB: What are some of the topics you think and what are some of your main messages?

EM: In this book, he made a model for making multiple political decisions, based on the human models of direct democracy. The multi -species assembly is a form of direct democracy in which humans, including human youth, and other human beings, such as animals and non -human plants are discussed, issues of common importance and political decisions.

In multiple gatherings, some animals can talk about themselves or their society, and others should be represented by others. For example, animals such as dogs or crows can talk to themselves, but those who avoid contact can be represented by humans. With “speaking”, I do not only mean the forms of human language and other species, but also embody the forms of communication and physical communication (such as interventions in the scene, or the use of objects). Moreover, there are no deliberations between humans and other animals in one meetings, but from the continuous question and response processes. Because of the current human dominance of all others, humans will have to take the initiative to create gatherings, but over time, multi -circles cultural and political knowledge will appear.

When creating gatherings, we can rely on political relations that already exist, as non -human animals are not without sound; They actively share the creation of relationships through cooperationResistance and/or rejection. However, since humans do not attack animals politically, the development of a model of multi -circles is walking alongside the creation of multiple new knowledge. For example, we need to develop new ways to make decisions, based on the forms of expressing all concerned. What human beings consider “politically” will most likely change in this process, because the various beings have their own views on the scope of political life and its content. This will lead to new democratic challenges. But it also provides hope. Humans can learn from others how to live in peace alongside those who disagree, how to live more on this planet, and how to achieve justice for what we care for all.1

Relationships are basic readings

MB: Do you hope that people learn more about this aspect of Animal behavior They will come to appreciate and respect them more?

EM: Understand that other animals speak for themselves and have their own ideas about the types of relationships with which they want with humans that change the full idea we have about society and life. I changed my life. While almost almost human hegemony of others is, learn to listen to others and interact with them in better ways is an urgent responsibility. Concepts such as democracy and justice can help us understand what we condemn to other animals, and how we can go forward together.
